...This hardbound book by itself is a work of art that is a collector’s dream. What a book! I truly enjoyed this thought-provoking book. It is filled with exceptional stories that you can use or adapt, complete with methods within your ability to learn. The key to a truly "magickal" presentation lies in the props, and the ones that Chelman shares with us are an inspiration in and of themselves. Even after the first effect, the inspiration had already begun to send me into a spin. I also love the way the book is layed out and illustrated. Finally out and in gorgeous color, this has to be THE book on ghostly magick and its art - and Christian has truly taken what we do (if you are a story teller who takes pride in every detail of your presentation) to the zone of a pure Artform in every way. Mark Edward And what a handsome volume [Hauntiques] is. With 148 colour photos of eerie-looking props Chelman has carefully assembled, if your interest is the bizarre this book could be inspiring. There is much to recommend, including a magnificent explanation of 'The Endless Loop', also called 'Fast and Loose' or 'Pricking the Garter' and, while the routine can be found elsewhere, the accompanying photos are invaluable for learning purposes. Also included are a number of good forces and some graphics with which to make your own strange artefacts. This is a book the bizarrists amongst you will want to own. It has been lovingly produced.
